Coming soon to a high school English class near you (well near you if you're Bekka), it's Mr. Burt! On Friday Nathan officially committed to be part of the Teach for America 2011 corps, teaching in Phoenix for two years. It's kind of like a mission except for it comes with a salary and benefits. We will still gladly accept care packages and a weekly deposit into our bank account though. Here's a couple articles with more information about the program. Can't wait to just lay by the pool with the sis, play with Arizona's cutest baby, and spend up Nathan's huge teacher's salary all day. I mean... find a job and apply for culinary school.
Wow! I am excited and proud of you guys! Will Nathan need to speak Spanish? Where in Phoenix? I kept wondering which choice you would make. Good luck and we hope to see you soon.

ReplyDeleteThanks Debbie! We don't know where exactly in Phoenix yet, as he has to interview with schools first. And he won't have to speak Spanish, thank goodness, because otherwise he'd have to learn it really fast!
