Oh hey there. We didn't see you there in our basement apartment doorway. Might as well have the grand tour then of our lovely accommodations. And let me just answer the question I know you will all be thinking by the end. Yes, the ceilings are that low.

This is the tiny "barely can be considered a front room" front room of our basement that doubles as the guest room. Fun fact: There is a tiny door in that back corner that leads to where you might ask? The bathroom naturally. Nathan wants to bolt a bookcase to it and make it like a secret passageway. I'm down.

Here's the hallway that is around the corner from the entry way and leads from the front room cave to the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. For the real Cribs experience go ahead and imagine you're walking down it at three times normal speed.

Bet you didn't guess that just to the right of the bathroom sink is... dun, dun, dun, dun.... a washer and dryer! To the right of the those is the shower and everything too. I'm pretty sure that a bathroom/laundry room combo is the number one selling point on houses on the market today. At least it should be.

Kitchen Highlight: The sink always smells like Sprite and so we always crave it after washing dishes. At least there is lots of counter and storage space so we can store things like our beautiful matte silver Kitchenaid. Que Magnifique!

Here's the other view from the kitchen. This is basically where people hang out because the cave is too small for it. Check out the stools we scored for cheap off Craigslist.

Here's one last view of the kitchen. If you look close at the far right bookshelf on the top shelf you can see the old school pencil sharpener Nathan's grandpa screwed onto it back in the day. Sometimes it's just too much to have to go look for a pencil sharpener, you know?

Here's our bedroom with the sweet bedroom set Nathan's brother hooked us up with from his old job.

The view of the other half of the room. That swamp cooler may be a bit of an eyesore but we basically love it.
So you've seen the whole apartment. It has its quirks but we love it for a first apartment. Oh, if anyone has any good decorating ideas let us know. Seriously. We'd love to have visitors if anyone is interested. That futon is calling your name people and you know it!
Where's the fridge shot at?! This is not a true cribs experience without it. Also, there was no cheesy "and this... is where the magic happens" type of comment in relation to the bedroom. But really I commend you for that. I know I'll be hollerin at that futon/cave real soon!
ReplyDeleteYou also forgot the shot of all your fabulous rides. We know you roll big with three different options. Just figure out how to get the lights on that scooter to get that Cribs gleam. Nothing screams baller like a computer animated sparkle.
ReplyDeleteAlso, that cave/pit is all that is promised and more!
